3.30pm today saw the global launch of a new accurate, high resolution plastic prototyping system. Concurrent Design Group (CDG) on Stand C22 at PDM10 launched the new ZBuilder Ultra system at exactly the same time as US manufacturer Z Corporation was unveiling it at the Rapid Show in California.
CDG already supplies a wide range of high resolution scanning and 3-D printing technology to the UK market, but the new ZBuilder Ultra is the first system of its type to produce durable plastic parts with a degree of flex, as opposed to the plaster-based materials used for most rapid prototyping systems.
“The ZBuilder Ultra builds durable plastic parts that rival injection moulding’s accuracy, material properties, detail and surface finish,” says Grant Cameron, Director of CDG. “It enables engineers to verfiy designs for form and function prior to full-scale production, eliminating costly modifications to production tooling and shortening tiem to market.”
